Music from CPC Yao Dao Primary School

In Hong Kong, I taught English at the above-named school in the Tin Shui Wai area of the New Territories. Here are the songs I recorded for them...

1) The Little Rabbits -- Spring 2002
The Little Rabbits were a group of 4th grade students who learned to sing Christian songs in English. These are the only songs with VOCALS.
     Peace Like A River (5.3MB)
The More We Get Together (3.6MB)
     I Have Decided (5.4MB)
Go Tell It On The Mountain (3.9MB)

2) Folk Song Singing Competition -- Fall 2002
After the Little Rabbits, we had a group of boys and girls from fourth and fifth grades enter a singing competition -- they asked me to make their backing track, and here 'tis...
     Carry On Until Tomorrow (5.6MB)

3) Christmas Songs -- Christmas 2002
The kids from the Folk Singing competition (above) also did a special program of Christmas songs in English. They performed only once (at Xi Lin CP Church), but did a great job. Here are the backing tracks I made for them.
Joy To The World/Jingle Bells Medley (1.7MB)
     O Come O Come Emmanuel (3.1MB)
     Away In A Manger (1.1MB)
We Wish You A Merry Christmas (0.95MB)

4) School Song and the Lunch Song -- Winter 2002/2003
Here are the recordings I tried for the "school song" (the alma mater) and the "lunch song." The lunch song is the one that the whole school stands and sings every single day before lunch. Really -- they do it every day. Someone also made a recording of some 6th grade girls singing with these backing tracks, but these are the 'originals' without the singing.
     School Song (1.2MB)
Lunch Song (This Is The Day) (0.56MB)

5) Sing Hosanna/Fire Dept. Song -- Fall 2003
This is a little hard to explain, but a group of older students from our school worked up a drama/musical about the HK Fire and Ambulance Service. Uh, yeah. But anyway, it was actually a BIG DEAL, they performed it all over HK many times, and even on TV!! It was great, they got their photos in the papers numerous times, they got to meet several HK pop stars -- despite sounding lame, it was a very cool thing! Okay, so part of the drama was the song "Sing Hosanna" but with new words about the Fire Dept. Here's the backing track I made.
     Sing Hosanna/Fire Dept. Song (1.6MB)

6) Sam Hui Song -- Spring 2004
Lastly, I'll post another backing track I made, this one based on a classic Sam Hui song -- every single HK person will know this one!! This backing track was used by Class 6D for their graduation drama/musical (they wrote new words for it).
     Sam Hui Song (2.1MB)
