About This Site

This is the website of Glenn Watts, a missionary to Japan from the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. 

This website is basically an ongoing correspondence from ME to my friends and family back home in the USA, and in Hong Kong.  

To my friends in Japan, I offer this "disclaimer":
Now, let me make one thing clear -- in the straight-forward, American style -- that anything I say here is just me talking. Often I don't think about it that much, until after the fact -- it would ruin the effect -- and all of those people in the States (my friends and family) are shaking their heads "yes" when I say that, because they know what I mean is that I don't mean what I mean. Do you know what I mean?

So please don't take offense or think I'm criticizing anything by what I might say here. That is the LAST thing I would want to do. It's all meant in good old-fashioned, stupid American, Jesus-people fun.

I say again, if I offend anyone by what I put here, please let me know. I may not change it or take it off, but I at least want to KNOW, for goodness' sakes. I know it's not the Japanese style to be so confrontational as to just tell someone they "made a mistake" -- but I don't have time to learn things the hard way, guys -- TELL ME when I goof.
